Ever since I was a child, I have wanted to become a professional artist. I took as many art classes as I could growing up. In high school, I received many awards and won cash prizes for my entries in art contests. But I didn’t dive right into becoming an artist professionally until recently.
Once I graduated from high school, I enlisted into the U.S. Navy. I served four years in the service and got out and started college. I received my art degree while attending The College of Coastal Georgia, where I also received the Outstanding Artist award.
Soon after I graduated, I had my son and decided to take on the role of a stay-at-home mom. But my drive to become a professional artist only got stronger. I’ve done many commissions for clients along the way, mainly portrait commissions. I have always been drawn to portraiture. I strive to capture the essence and personality of my subjects to create not only a work of art but a possible heirloom as well.
If your desire is to commission me for a portrait or any other type of art, please feel free to take a gander at my portfolio and send me a message.
